We have provided services to some of the major north american mining companies like Goldcorp, Agnico Eagle, Suncor, Consolidated Thompson, Nemaska Lithium, McInnis Cement and others.

    Phase I

    YEAR:

    2009-2010

    LOCATION:

    Bloom Lake, Québec

    PROJECT:

    The Bloom Lake Project is the first major iron ore project in Eastern Canada since the 1970s.

    During the Phase 1, LNA was required to manage all site construction activities for the construction of an iron ore processing plant with a capacity of 8 million tonnes of concentrate.

    A team of engineers and technicians were mobilized on-site to launch our Quick Project Recovery Task Force (QPRTF) procedure and provide the Construction Management and Project Control for the entire site, from the gyratory crusher up to the concentrated storage and load-out facilities including the tailings infrastructure and all related services.

  • Consolidated ThompsonSept-Îles

    Consolidated Thompson - Sept-Îles

    YEAR:

    2009-2010

    LOCATION:

    Bloom Lake, Québec

    PROJECT:

    Under the Phase 1 of the Consolidated Thompson project, a complete port infrastructure was required for receiving and loading the processing plant concentrate: Port installation, railway, load-out station, stacker /reclaimer, conveyor system and ship loader.

    LNA was responsible for:

    • Managing the take over control of the new port facilities at Pointe Noire, the existing construction management was put under control and the direction of LNA to achieve new dates for operating the Port Loading Facilities.
    • Construction Management and Project Control of all activities planned for unloading, storage, recuperation, conveying, ships loading, the Pointe-Noire railway and the Arnaud junction, including works for field management, planning, coordination and contracts administration.

    Phase II

    YEAR:

    2011-2013

    LOCATION:

    Bloom Lake, Québec

    PROJECT:

    During the Phase 2 of the Cliffs Natural Resources project (after the acquisition of Consolidated Thompson), LNA was required to manage all the construction activities of an additional 8 million tonnes iron ore processing plant to increase the production capacity of existing facilities.

    LNA was in charge of the Construction Management and Project Control of the entire site, from Crushing Facility to car loading station including civil, concrete, structural, electrical, mechanical & piping construction works.

    Responsible for the planning, contract preparation, tender analysis, negotiations and recommendations, field supervision and verification of all contract changes and approval.

    Preparation of cost estimates and budget reviews.

    Implication of the constructability for the phases of execution.

    Mobilization of a team of engineers and technicians on-site.

    McInnis – Cement Plant

    YEAR:

    2015-2017

    LOCATION:

    Port Daniel-Gascons, Québec

    PROJECT:

    McInnis cement plant, producing more than two millions tonnes of cement annually, is one of largest industrial projects recently built in eastern North America.

    LNA was the Owner's Representative to manage the following construction activities:

    • QPRFT: Project recovery techniques to expand the owner’s representative project team
    • With participation in constructability reviews with the engineering consultants:
      • Construction planning & scheduling
      • Contract content optimization
      • Cost analysis & trending
      • Site management
    • Management and co-ordination of all contractors
    • Management of the procurement activities offsite and onsite
