    Colt WorleyParsons - Marsulex Plant

    PROJECT:

    The Marsulex’s sulphur processing facility in Montréal captures and recuperates sulphur from two refineries in Montréal, and it is one of the largest of its kind in the conventional crude oil refining industry in Canada. In 2005, Marsulex, in agreement with the two refiners, initiated a project expansion to increase the capacity of its facility by over 50%, in order to meet the new regulations.

    LNA’S mandate was to provide construction management services to upgrade the existing facilities located in Montreal East from 230T/D to 330 T/D.

    We provided Contract development and preparation for civil, structural, mechanical & piping construction works.

    We were responsible of the construction planning, contract preparation, tender analyses, negotiations with bidders and recommendations, field supervision and the verification of all contract changes and approval.

    (Contract was terminated prematurely due to economic conditions.)

  • Jean Gaulin RefineryUltramar (Valero)

    Jean Gaulin Refinery – Ultramar (Valero)

    PROJECT:

    The Jean Gaulin Refinery is the largest refinery in Quebec and the second largest in Canada in terms of capacity and it handles crude oil from overseas, the Gulf of Mexico and North America, which is shipped by pipelines and tankers to its deep-water port that operates year round on the St. Lawrence River

    From 2000 to 2017, Valero has invested more than $1.9 billion in projects at its Lévis refinery to achieve various objectives such as increasing its performance, preserving the mechanical integrity of its facilities, diversifying its supply sources, optimizing its employees' working environment and improving its environmental record.

    LNA’s was involved in the refinery expansion providing management services to Valero since 2004. During the mandate carried out during 2011 to 2012 LNA provided material and equipment management as well as construction management services for existing reservoir crude storage facility. We also provided inspection services according to the API 653 standards.

    PROJECT:

    Shell Canada has a distribution terminal located in Montréal-East. It is the largest terminal of its kind in eastern Canada and stores different grades of gasoline and distillate (diesel, home heating oil and jet fuel), ethanol, biodiesel and crude oil.

    Over the years, the development of the Montréal East Terminal has required substantial investments to modernize its facilities. In 2013, close to $10 million was invested to increase its terminal distribution facility.

    LNA’s mandate was to provide construction management services for the addition of two new pumping systems to the existing five truck loading gantries.

    PROJECT:

    Shell Canada has a distribution terminal located in the west side of Ottawa for the storage of different grades of gasoline and ethanol.

    The terminal has required diverse investments to modernize its facilities. In 2008, close to $ 8 million were invested to increase its terminal distribution facility.

    LNA’s mandate was to provide construction management services for the addition of two new pumping systems to the existing two track loading gantries.
